Art and Exhibits
More than just an airport, Boston Logan International Airport is a public space, and we are proud to welcome travelers from around the world here. Reflecting the rich history and culture of our home city of Boston and our region in New England, Boston Logan’s art and landmarks enhance the passenger experience.
Public Art Program
The Boston Logan Public Art Program is dedicated to enhancing the air travel experience of our customers. Our program focuses on curating exhibitions that enrich the airport environment while supporting local artists and institutions. By creating an ambiance that celebrates the sophistication and cultural diversity of Boston, New England, and the world, we aim to educate, inspire, and entertain all visitors to Boston Logan.
The program includes permanent installations as well as rotating exhibitions and community art.

Hall of Flags
Located in Terminal E, the Hall of Flags is an evolving tribute to Boston Logan’s global connections. The more than 50 flags on display represent the countries with nonstop service to and from Boston. These international connections support the region’s economy and diverse cultures. A new flag is raised on the day of an inaugural flight to a new country.
Tuskegee Airmen Honor Wall
Brigadier General Enoch O’Dell “Woody” Woodhouse is a Boston native and one of the last surviving members of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African American fighter pilot unit in the U.S. military. This exhibit, located outside the USO Office in Terminal C, honors his patriotism and legacy. The adjacent “Tuskegee Airmen Honor Wall” mural shines a spotlight on the courage, perseverance and service of these brave men who fought in World War II and broke racial barriers.

Logan 100
The “Logan 100” exhibit takes a look back at Boston Logan’s rich history and its role in connecting Boston to the world and supporting the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ economy. From its early days as a small airfield with two runways in 1923 to a world-class and modern transportation hub with more than 120 nonstop destinations, this exhibit features the airport’s photographic journey highlighting key milestones and accomplishments over the years. The exhibit also recognizes some of the 1B+ customers it has served over the years, including celebrities and world leaders.

Sports Exhibit
The Sports exhibit at Boston Logan showcases the city's rich sports history, highlighting the region's top athletes representing various collegiate and professional sports teams. Recognized as one of the most successful sports cities in the nation, Boston has a long tradition of championship wins and unforgettable moments. The exhibit, created in partnership with The Sports Museum, celebrates these achievements and the pride the city takes in its sports legacy. Located in Terminal B this exhibit is made up of four displays including New England sports artifacts, digital displays, and selfie stations.
Deconstructing Stigma
“Deconstructing Stigma” is an international mental health awareness exhibit aimed at breaking down misconceptions about various forms of mental illness. Created in partnership with McLean Hospital, the largest psychiatric affiliate of Harvard Medical School, the exhibit was installed in the pre-security hallway connecting Terminals B and C in December 2016. It originally featured the stories of 30 individuals, including musicians, actors and athletes, whose lives have been impacted by mental health. The exhibit was updated in October 2019 with new profiles of 36 individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Head of the Charles
The “Head of the Charles” exhibit is a nod to Boston’s world-renowned annual rowing competition, which started in 1965. Located in Terminal B, the exhibit highlights the 3-mile course along the Charles River and several historic race photos. It features two boats—a single scull and an eight-oared shell—provided by Elite Rowing Inc. and Fluidesign. The exhibit also includes 17 oars representing the different rowing clubs around Boston. Invention, Innovation, Imagination
“Invention, Innovation, Imagination.” Multimedia installation celebrating the innovation economy in New England by highlighting John F. Kennedy's challenge that launched America on the race to the moon, and the many contemporary innovations.

Boston Symphony Orchestra
Led by Music Director Andris Nelsons since 2014, the Boston Symphony Orchestra gave its inaugural concert in 1881. Today the BSO reaches millions of listeners through concert performances, educational and community programs, radio, and television.

Atlantic Journey
Based on her watercolor paintings, artist Jane Goldman's Atlantic Journey depicts dozens of aquatic creatures in the terrazzo flooring, taking passengers from sandy shores to the depths of the Atlantic.

Recap
This giant facsimile of the symbol for recycling represents the continuity between resource utility, environmental sustainability, and human creativity.

A Small Gain in Altitude and Dock of the Bay
“A Small Gain in Altitude” and “Dock of the Bay” are two paintings by John Himmelfarb, who graduated from Harvard College. These 15ft x 19ft paintings on display in Terminal A pre-security were commissioned by Delta Air Lines for the terminal in 2005.

Naming Things
Artist inspired on everyday "list making" skills, she created: Naming Things, a demonstration composed of familiar objects chosen by chance.

The State Flowers of the Six New England States. The People. The Four Seasons. Sports.
The artwork displayed is a graphic representation and celebration of the diverse aspects of New England that combine to form its unique character.

Goldberg Variations
A fascinating and mesmerizing rolling ball kinetic art sculpture has been 'kicking around' Boston's Logan Airport for many years. It is a sample of mechanical complexity.
Terminal B

Head of the Charles
The Head of the Charles exhibit covers over 150 feet of wall space and features 17 oars highlighting different rowing clubs around Boston.

Flyby
Flyby expresses forward momentum and departure, paying homage to flight and themes of movement.

“Deconstructing Stigma” is a public education exhibit that hopes to inspire a change in how people with mental illness are viewed.

I Am More: Facing Stigma
This exhibit from Yellow Tulip Project, a non-profit organization for mental health stigma awareness, consists of twenty-two portraits of people affected by mental illness, each with an “I Am” statement about who they are beyond their mental illness.

Massachusetts Music
Home to the “Bad Boys of Boston,” birthplace of the “Boy Band” revolution, annual site of the Fourth of July Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, host to one of the world’s most respected institutions of music education, and companies Zildjian and Bose.

Tuskegee Airmen Honor Wall
"Woody" Woodhouse II is the embodiment of hope, unity, and optimism. Born in Boston, MA on January 14, 1927, he is one of the last surviving members of World War II’s legendary Tuskegee Airmen, the all-Black fighter pilot unit in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
