Getting To and From Boston Logan

Discover the range of accessible transportation options available for travel to and from the airport.

Logan Express

Massport offers express bus service to Boston Logan. All Logan Express buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts, are ADA-compliant, and operate every 30 to 60 minutes. Although not required, if you will be using the lift, we recommend contacting the service provider below in advance so they may better assist you:

MBTA/Public Transit

The MBTA Blue Line Airport subway station is wheelchair-accessible. Massport provides free shuttle bus service from Airport Station to all terminals and the Boston Logan Water Transportation dock.

The MBTA Silver Line rapid transit bus is wheelchair-accessible and serves all airport terminals, the South Boston Waterfront, and South Station.

If you’re visiting the Boston area and have a disability that prevents you from using the MBTA bus, subway, or trolley all or some of the time, you may be eligible to use The RIDE, the MBTA’s ADA paratransit door-to-door service.

A Massport dispatcher located outside the lower level (Arrivals level) of each terminal can assist with getting an accessible taxi/wheelchair van at Boston Logan. 

The MBTA Ferry serves Boston and the South Shore. For more information, call 617-222-3200.

Passengers with disabilities going to or coming from Boston Logan can choose to be picked up and dropped off in the Central Parking Garage, the Terminal B Parking Garage or the accessible locations at the terminal curbs 24 hours per day. For passengers needing an accessible limo pickup or drop-off in Terminal C, please follow signs to the Departure-level (lower-level) curb where you can request to meet your car. 

All car rental agencies provide hand-controlled cars with 24 to 48 hours’ advance notice.

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking with a valid disability plate or placard is available in all garages at Boston Logan, even when the sign says “full.”

Accessible pickup and drop-off areas are available at all terminal entrances. For security reasons, cars must be attended at all times. However, short-term drop-off with disability plates can be arranged for a maximum of 15 minutes for drivers who must accompany a person with disabilities into the terminal. See State Police outside the terminal, or call State Police at 617-568-7300.

The Economy Parking Garage provides offsite accessible parking and free accessible shuttle bus service to and from the terminals.

If you are taking your disability placard with you on your trip, please register it with the Parking Office before you leave. The Parking Office is located on Level 2 of the Central Parking Garage, and can be reached by phone at 617-561-1673.

All Central Parking Garage Level 1 (All Overheight Vehicles)
Clearance for Central Parking Level 1 is 12’0”.
Walkway to Terminal: 1,000 feet to 3,000 feet. Call for a 24-hour lift-equipped bus at 617-561-1673.

Terminal A
Clearance for Central Parking Level 4 is 6’8”.
Walkway to Terminal: 1,000-foot pedestrian bridge/moving walkway from Central Parking Level 4.

Terminal B
Clearance for Terminal B Parking Garage Levels 2–5 is 6’6”.
Level 2—Use the crosswalk to the Departures level.
Levels 3–5—Take the elevator to Level 2 for the Departures level.

Clearance for Central Parking Garage Level 4 is 6’8”.
Walkway to Terminal: 1,000-foot pedestrian bridge/moving walkway from Central Parking Level 4.

Terminal C
Clearance for Central Parking Level 4 is 6’8”.
Walkway to Terminal: 300-foot pedestrian bridge from Central Parking Level 4.

Terminal E
Accessible short-term parking is available in the open lot in front of Terminal E.
Clearance for Central Parking Level 4 is 8’2”.
Walkway to Terminal: 1,000-foot pedestrian bridge/moving walkway from Central Parking Level 4.

Economy Parking Garage
Clearance for Economy Parking Garage Level 1 is 8’2”.

Clearance for Economy Parking Garage Levels 2–3 is 7’0”.
