Boston Logan International Airport
Smarter, Smoother, and Centered on You
2025 was a year of growth and innovation at Boston Logan International Airport, with more international flight choices, improved customer amenities, and critical safety enhancements shaping the future of travel. With more than 43 million passengers traveling through Logan, international travel rebounded strongly, and new nonstop routes expanded global connections. We achieved our highest-ever customer satisfaction ranking, introduced new food and beverage options, and advanced safety upgrades on our busiest runway. From roadway improvements and work on a new garage to enhanced digital signage and faster Wi-Fi, every step reflects our commitment to a smarter, smoother, and more enjoyable journey for all.
New England’s Gateway to Commerce and Adventure
Logan served 43.2 million passengers in 2025, connecting New England residents and businesses to the world and welcoming visitors from near and far. International passengers continued to rebound increasing by 3.8% to 10 million–the most ever.

More choices for your next international trip! In 2025, Logan added new nonstop services: AnguillAir to Anguilla, Arajet to Santo Domingo, Delta to Barcelona and Milan, JetBlue to Edinburgh and Madrid, TAP to Porto, and WestJet to Vancouver.

Passengers Keep Choosing Worcester Regional Airport for Hassle-Free Flights
In 2025, more than 216,000 passengers flew through Worcester Regional Airport—continuing strong demand for its convenient location, easy check-in, affordable parking, and nonstop flights to favorite destinations.
American Airlines Restored Nonstop Philadelphia Service
In July, American Airlines resumed nonstop flights from Worcester to Philadelphia, reconnecting travelers to a major hub with easy connections to dozens of domestic and international destinations.
Investing in Safety at Worcester Airport
At Worcester, we installed a $10M Engineered Materials Arresting System at the Runway 11 end, following Runway 29 in 2024. EMAS uses crushable blocks to safely stop an aircraft that overshoots the runway, ensuring continuous safety for operations.
Inspiring Future Aviation Leaders at Worcester Regional Airport
Through a partnership with Scouting America, Worcester Regional Airport hosts an Aviation Exploring program for middle school students, offering hands-on activities and career insights from aviation professionals to spark interest in the industry.
Hanscom Field
Connecting Innovation and Aviation
Hanscom Field is New England’s premier general aviation airport, supporting regional connectivity and fueling the innovation economy. With strong infrastructure, strategic investments, and proximity to leading R&D centers, Hanscom remains a critical link for business, emergency services, and emerging technologies—positioned to advance sustainable aviation and strengthen its role in the region’s future.
Hanscom Field: Leading General Aviation in New England
Hanscom Field remained New England’s leading GA airport and key Logan reliever in 2025, supporting businesses, emergency services, and private flights with more than 116,000 operations, including a record 37,201 jet movements.
Hanscom Field Welcomed its First Electric Aircraft
In June, Hanscom Field marked a milestone with the arrival of the Alia CX300 by Beta Technologies—its first all-electric aircraft. This achievement highlights progress in sustainable aviation and the future of regional air travel.
Transforming the Navy Hangar: A New Era for Aviation Innovation
A developer plans to repurpose the Navy Hangar at Hanscom Field for aviation R&D and medical missions, creating 100+ high-paying jobs and driving growth in the region's innovation economy.

Expanding Horizons for New England Trade
Conley Terminal continues to be a critical gateway for New England’s importers and exporters, delivering reliable service and global connectivity. In 2025, the terminal strengthened its reach with new international routes, welcomed the largest ships in its history, and moved over 1.7 million metric tons of cargo—underscoring its role in powering regional trade and economic growth.

Conley Container Terminal handled 245,000 TEUs in 2025—continuing to deliver reliable service and global connectivity for New England’s importers and exporters.
New MSC Service Expands the Port of Boston’s Global Reach
MSC’s round-the world Dragon Service started calling Conley Terminal, opening direct Asia–Mediterranean links and strengthening New England’s trade reach while accelerating global supply chains.
Conley Welcomed Its Largest Ships Ever
With its modernized infrastructure, Conley Terminal welcomed the largest ships in its history—MSC Verona and MSC Sofia, each over 16,000 TEUs—marking a milestone for Boston’s global trade in 2025.

Flynn Cruiseport Boston welcomed nine maiden calls in 2025, including new vessels, the Norwegian Aqua and Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady, and its largest ship ever—Norwegian Escape—carrying 4,200 guests and boosting Boston’s tourism economy.

Driving Landmark Developments Forward
Advanced major real estate projects: 10 World Trade opened, Commonwealth Pier entered its final phase, and a development team was selected for the rehabilitation of the North Jetty deep-water berth and backlands.

Massport Leads Regional Push for SAF Adoption and Innovation
Massport and state partners co-hosted a regional SAF workshop, convened over 60 partners in a SAF Hub, pushed for state incentives, and partnered with researchers to drive SAF technology and pilot projects, positioning MA as a leader in clean aviation.
Massport Fleets Run on 100% Renewable Diesel
In 2025, Massport fully transitioned its fleets to 100% renewable diesel, significantly reducing emissions from ground operations and accelerating progress toward our climate action and sustainability goals.
Cleaner Ground Operations at Boston Logan
Massport launched a new Zero Emissions Ground Service Equipment Policy at Logan Airport, and installed more than 370 charging ports, helping airlines and tenants transition to cleaner, quieter electric equipment.
Expanding On-Site Solar Power
New solar installations at Hanscom Field and Piers Park, are powering 80% to 191% of building needs, cutting Scope 2 emissions, and driving progress toward our Net Zero 2031 goal.
AI Tech Boosts Recycling at Logan Airport
Logan Airport is boosting recycling with Oscar Sort—an AI-powered waste-sorting system that reduces landfill waste, improves sustainability, and educates users. Early results show diversion rates trending 8–24 points higher than the airport baseline.
Logan Advances Carbon Goals
Logan achieved Airport Carbon Accreditation Level 2, with a 2.5% reduction in emissions (vs 3-yr avg) driven by reduced diesel and natural gas use. This milestone builds on Level 1 certifications in 2023 and 2024 and strengthens our path to Net Zero.
Transforming Vision Into Climate Action
Massport launched the Office of Climate Innovation and Resilience and appointed a Chief Climate Officer to strengthen accountability, coordinate action, and accelerate delivery of our climate and resilience commitment.

In 2025, we deepened our engagement through charitable contributions, foundation support, youth job programs, and scholarships. Massport’s commitment to community continues with 2025 foundation payments—empowering East Boston ($1,374,000), South Boston ($150,000), and Winthrop ($500,000) for a stronger future.
Partnering with Communities to Create Youth Opportunities
We invested $715,000 to support 298 summer youth jobs across 29 organizations, building workforce skills and creating real-world experiences and pathways to long-term career growth.
Celebrating Student Achievement
$50,000 in scholarships awarded! Massport supports local students pursuing STEM degrees and community impact with $30,000 in Massport scholarships and donates $20,000 to local high school scholarship programs to empower future leaders.
Employees Making a Difference
Massport employees gave back in 2025—providing 80 backpacks filled school supplies, 119 children's coats, 85 food boxes, $2K in grocery gift cards, and 100 toy gifts supporting families in East Boston, South Boston, Winthrop, Revere and Worcester.

Holiday Cheer Lights Up Bremen Street Park
Partnered with Friends of the Mary Ellen Welch Greenway to kick off the season in East Boston with “Christmas on the Greenway” at Bremen Street Park—featuring Santa’s grand arrival on a Massport fire truck and festive fun for families and neighbors.
STEM Expo Engaged Thousands at Logan
At Logan Airport, Massport and FAA hosted 2,200+ students for the STEM Expo, offering hands-on exhibits, aircraft tours, and career insights to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.
