Inclusive public realm programming helps establish the South Boston Waterfront as a welcoming destination for all Bostonians. South Boston Maritime Park

South Boston Maritime Park is the centerpiece of Massport’s collection of parks and open spaces in South Boston. Larry J’s BBQ Cafe is a popular food and beverage spot in the park, and also the sponsor of the Boston Jazz Festival each August. The Berklee College of Music has weekly summer concerts in the park as well.

Boxes at the Boston Fish Pier

Boxes at the Boston Fish Pier is an open-air venue along Northern Avenue for a regular seafood market, harbor-centric educational talks, and displays about the pier, the seafood industry, and other harbor-related information.

Viaduct Plaza

Viaduct Plaza is a hardscape open space along World Trade Center Avenue, open to the public and available for reservation for events. Through two series of its UtilityArt Program, Massport has featured the work of local artists on utility boxes in the South Boston Waterfront.
