Phillip Eng leads Massachusetts’ transportation network as Interim Secretary of Transportation and General Manager of the MBTA. With nearly 40 years of experience, he is committed to improving safety, reliability, and modernization across all modes of transportation.

- Interim Secretary of Transportation (appointed October 2025)
- Oversees the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) and its agencies, including Massport, which manages Logan International Airport and other regional transportation facilities.
- Coordinates statewide transportation strategy to strengthen connectivity and support economic growth.

- Led modernization programs including the Subway Action Plan and Forward program.
- Served as Executive Deputy Commissioner, NYSDOT, delivering major projects such as the Kosciuszko and Mario M. Cuomo bridges.
