Fish & Farm Market Celebrates Massachusetts Farmers Market Week
This Saturday, August 9, will feature a DJ pop-up by a Trike Called Funk
Governor Maura Healy has declared August 3 to August 9, 2025 as Massachusetts Farmers Market Week, and at the Fish and Farm Market Massport is celebrating. This Saturday, August 9, will feature a DJ pop-up by a Trike Called Funk, along with dozens of vendors selling the freshest fish, produce and goods.
The Fish & Farm Market is a unique collaboration between Massport, which owns and operates the historic Fish Pier where it supports a mix of seafood business tenants, and Mass Farmers Markets, a nonprofit organization that manages successful markets in Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville. Every Saturday dozens of vendors set up at the Fish Pier and participate in the only farmers market in the South Boston Waterfront.
Since the first market on June 7, over 5,000 people have visited the Fish & Farm Market, and there have been over 2 dozen different vendors. There are also multiple vendors in the Mass Farmers Market’s Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) Incubator Initiative. This program helps vendors by paying vendor fees, assisting with permitting and provide participants with day-of tables, chairs and tents. This program is extremely important as it allows vendors who might not be able to vend at farmers markets the opportunity to sell their products.
The Fish & Farm Market runs every Saturday , 9:30am to 1:30pm, until November 1. We invite everyone to come out to the Fish Pier for the freshest fish around, the best produce and a diverse array of vendors.
