Leadership Development
The LEAD Program
A seven module, internal leadership development program instructed by internal subject matter experts and faculty from local universities focusing on Strategic Thinking, Leadership Style, Enhancing Financial Acumen, Leading Teams, Advanced Negotiation Skills, Lean/Continuous Quality Improvement, and Talent Management.
The Monthly Business Update Series
Presentations by key Massport leaders and Agency partners on current projects and organizational initiatives.
The Bentley University Executive Education Off-Site
Through a nomination process, a cohort group of high potential employees are sent to a five-day leadership development program on the Bentley University campus.
Supervisors As Impactful Leaders (SAIL) Program
A five session supervisory development program instructed by internal staff and external training consultants focusing on The Supervisor As Role Model, Communicating Effectively As A Supervisor, HR Policies And Procedures, Project Management, and Conflict Resolution Skills.
Associate Development
Open Enrollment Seminars
An Employee Development training calendar is published quarterly. All Massport employees have the opportunity to enroll in Professional Development Seminars, Computer Classes, Special Massport Specific Presentations, and Health and Wellness seminars.
The Administrative Professionals Certificate of Achievement Program
A comprehensive, fifteen session development program for administrative professionals focusing on workplace style, workplace etiquette, customer service, problem solving, project management, business writing, budgeting, Massport specific contract and purchasing systems, and enhancing Microsoft Office computer skills.
Custom Programs
Organization Development staff design customized learning and development solutions to meet the needs of specific departments.
Tuition Reimbursement
All regular full and part-time employees who have completed six months of regular employment with Massport may qualify for partial reimbursement for an approved course at colleges or universities provided they obtain the required pre-approvals and submit the required documentation.
Employees may qualify for reimbursement for the tuition portion of job-related certificate and licensing programs provided that they meet the job-related education program requirements.
Tuition Remission
All regular full and part-time employees may receive tuition remission at Massachusetts state colleges and universities, which reduces tuition costs at these institutions.
Attendance at External Professional Development Seminars
Employees may attend external development seminars to strengthen their skills and competencies with the approval of management and the Human Resources Organizational Development Unit.
