TRAFFIC ALERT Construction Will Temporarily Close Logan Roadway Overnight

Passengers should plan ahead for the traffic impact

BOSTON – Due to weather, the scheduled demolition of a pedestrian bridge connecting the Old Tower to the current Control Tower at Boston Logan International Airport has been rescheduled tonight. This special one-time project will temporarily close a section of the Arrivals and Departures Level Roadways between Terminals B and C beginning at 11pm tonight into tomorrow morning.

Drivers should pay attention to roadway signs and follow detours through Terminals B and C during the scheduled project:

LOCATION ROAD CLOSURE
Arrivals Level between Terminals B and C Sunday, Jan 12th 11pm - Monday, Jan 13th 8am
Departures Level between Terminals B and C Sunday, Jan 12th 11pm - Monday, Jan 13th 3:30am

We encourage passengers to plan ahead for the traffic impact:

  • The Ride App pick up and drop off locations will remain the same and should not be impacted;
  • Access to Central Parking will not be impacted;
  • The pedestrian walkways to the terminals will not be impacted;
  • Logan Express buses will operate as scheduled;
  • Consider taking public transportation or Logan Express to and from Logan.

This demolition work is part of a larger project to make room for a redesigned roadway system that will improve the traffic flow between Terminals B and C during peak hours of operation.
