Construction Will Temporarily Close Logan Roadway This Weekend

Passengers should plan ahead for the traffic impact

BOSTON – As part of a special one-time project, a section of the Arrivals and Departures Level Roadways between Terminals B and C will temporarily close this Saturday evening into Sunday morning during demolition of an old pedestrian bridge. The pedestrian bridge connects the Old Tower at Boston Logan International Airport to the current Control Tower. This project is weather permitting.

Drivers should pay attention to roadway signs and follow detours through Terminals B and C during the scheduled project:

Location Road Closure
Arrivals Level between Terminals B and C Saturday, Jan 11th 5PM - Sunday, Jan 12th 8AM
Departures Level between Terminals B and C Saturday, Jan 11th 9PM - Sunday, Jan 12th 4AM

We encourage passengers to plan ahead for the traffic impact:

  • Arrive at least 2 hours early for domestic flights, or 3 hours early for international flights;
  • Arrive before 9pm for all late night/overnight flights on Saturday;
  • The Ride App pick up and drop off locations will remain the same and should not be impacted;
  • Access to Central Parking will not be impacted;
  • The pedestrian walkways to the terminal will not be impacted;
  • Logan Express buses will operate as scheduled;
  • Consider taking public transportation or Logan Express to and from Logan.

This demolition work is part of a larger project to make room for a redesigned roadway system that will improve the traffic flow between Terminals B and C during peak hours of operation.
