Due to lower passenger demand, the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) continues to adjust transportation modes and parking locations. Massport will be closing the Economy Parking Garage at Logan Airport starting Sunday, March 29th. Central Parking remains open; this location is connected to all four terminals via covered walkways.

For the few remaining passengers still parked in the Economy Garage, Massport will transport those passengers back to their vehicles. There is information curbside and at the information booths at Logan for those passengers.

Due to lower passenger demand, Massport will be adjusting Logan Express service at the Braintree, Framingham and Woburn locations to hourly operation. The Peabody and Back Bay services will be temporarily suspended. These changes will be in effect starting Friday, March 27th.

Update as of March 19th, 2020

Re: State Dept Level 4 Announcement

We are evaluating what the State Department’s No Travel Order for U.S. citizens means for Massport facilities. Most of our international airlines have already been adjusting their schedules due to lower passenger demand, and many cruise lines have cancelled or delayed their seasons for months. We are working closely with our federal and industry partners to understand what this means for our facilities and we will share more information as it becomes available.

Update as of March 18th, 2020

Massport will be temporarily suspending the Peabody Logan Express service, and reducing the service at both Braintree and Back Bay from 20-minute headways to 30 minutes. More info

Updates as of March 13th

The Department of Homeland Security has named Boston Logan International Airport one of 13 airports to provide enhanced health screening for passengers who have been to a number of European countries in the past 14 days. This declaration means CBP and CDC will perform enhanced screening of these passengers entering the United States through Boston. The Massachusetts Port Authority has been fully cooperating with our local, state and federal public health partners and is providing all necessary support. We have been following proper cleaning and disinfecting protocols in our public facilities, and reminding passengers and employees to use good health practices such as washing hands regularly, and covering coughs and sneezes.
