Early morning on Saturday, June 19, the Central Artery will open a new ramp from the outbound roadway at Logan Airport to 1A South and the Sumner Tunnel. When the ramp opens, travelers will access the Sumner Tunnel from the right lanes of the outbound roadway at Logan Airport via the new ramp. The Route 1A North ramp will now be accessed from the left lanes of the outbound roadway. Signs will be posted to help guide travelers to the appropriate lanes.
Also this weekend, the u-turn/roadway at the old MBTA Airport Station will closed and the demolition of the old T station and ramp will begin. Travelers are able to loop back to the terminals via the existing u-turn just after the Central Parking Garage exit to the outbound terminal area roadway.
