That new ramp, which is located approximately two miles west of Logan Airport, will make it easier to reach I-93 South. Currently motorists have to negotiate a hairpin turn at the temporary Exit 23, which has often caused back-ups on I-90 West. The new connection, via Exit 24 in South Boston, will feature a longer off-ramp with a more gradual turning radius.
As a result of the change, the new Exit 24 will now handle cars headed to both I-93 North and South from both I-90 West and South Boston surface streets.
Motorists will be alerted to these changes in fliers that will be handed out at the Ted Williams Tunnel toll plaza. For more information, please visit www.masspike.com.
