- A new I-93 North Exit 20 (I-90 East) will open providing direct highway ramp access to the new I-90 East Connector to Logan Airport. Building on the convenience of the MassPike connector which opened last weekend, now travelers from south of Boston can easily use the Ted Williams Tunnel to get to Logan. Going the other direction from Logan to the South, motorists should still use the Sumner Tunnel to I-93S.
Just follow these simple steps: - From the Expressway Northbound (I-93 North), take Exit 20 (located just past Exit 18/Mass. Ave/Roxbury/Frontage Road)
- Follow the New elevated highway into a new South Boston tunnel
- Merge onto I-90 East and into the Ted Williams Tunnel
- Take the Logan Airport Exit
- During the same weekend, I-93 North Exit 24 (Logan Airport/Callahan Tunnel/Government Center) will close permanently. This means if you are traveling to Logan from the south shore (I-93 North) or west (I-90) you must take the new I-90 East Connector/Ted Williams Tunnel (Exit 20) . Access to the Callahan Tunnel from I-93 North will no longer exist with the closing of Exit 24.
