The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), in conjunction with Logan Airport concessionaires, BAA and Westfield Management Corporation Inc., will sponsor a job fair on Tuesday, January 25th, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (snow date is January 26th) at the lower level of Terminal E. The job fair will showcase employment opportunities with concessionaires at all Logan Airport terminals including A, B, C and E.

Massport is sponsoring the job fair to share the economic benefits of its operations with its neighbors in the surrounding areas. Massport’s Office of Government and Community Affairs is conducting extensive outreach to the communities closest to Logan through mailings and personal contacts with local job training and social service agencies.

“Facilitating access to jobs at Logan Airport for those who live closest to Logan has long been a Massport priority,” said Craig P. Coy, Massport CEO. “Logan Airport plays a critical role in this region’s economy and provides more than 16,000 jobs. Massport wants its closest neighbors to be the first to know about job opportunities at all of our facilities.”

Terminal A, the new $400 million, state-of-the-art structure is scheduled to open in mid March and is expected to generate nearly 100 concessions jobs.

More than 35 airport companies will be represented at the job fair, including: Au Bon Pain, Airport Wireless/Palm One, Borders, Bose, Collections of New England, Dunkin Donuts, Duty Free Americas, Famous Famiglia, Fuddruckers, Greenleaf’s Grill, Gourmet on the Fly, The Grove, Hudson News, Johnson and Murphy, Landau, Legal Seafoods, l’Occitane, Lyons Group, McDonald’s, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Newslink, Panda Express, Summer Shack, Treat Street, SBarro and Wendy’s.

Full- and part-time positions are available in the following categories: cashiers, stock persons, prep cooks, line cooks, bartenders, wait staff, sales persons, bus persons, store managers, assistant store managers, supervisors, shift supervisors, shift leaders and crew members. Many of these positions include benefits and are available immediately.

Local residents are strongly encouraged to attend this job fair. Improved roadways, reconstruction of the MBTA Airport station and the impending new Silver Line connection from downtown Boston to Logan means getting to Logan is fast and convenient from all neighboring communities. Whether traveling by public transportation or by water service, Massport offers regular complimentary shuttle service to all terminals.

Complimentary transportation to Terminal E is available from the MBTA’s Airport Blue Line Station and the Logan Airport Water Shuttle dock via Massport shuttle buses that regularly circle the terminals. Parking at the airport is also available at the Central Garage at regular parking rates.

Massport and its tenants are committed to diversity in the workplace and are equal opportunity employers. For more information about the job fair, please call  617-561-1730 , press 1 for English and 2 for Spanish or click
