Massport Honors Outstanding Achievements Award Connects Employees to Superior Individual Achievements

BOSTON — The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) today announced the recipients of its "Outstanding Achievement" award honoring employees who have made a noteworthy contribution to the operation of the Authority. Massport began the recognition program in 2007 to give employees an opportunity to honor their peers for superior individual achievement.

"The Outstanding Achievement award recognizes instances of superior individual achievements and is an opportunity to recognize employees and thank them for their exemplary efforts and enthusiasm," said Massport CEO and Executive Director Thomas J. Kinton, Jr. "Through their efforts we are helping our economy grow, meeting the needs of the traveling public and establishing Massport as a nationally-recognized leader in transportation."

The award is designed to recognize the contributions of Massport employees in six separate categories:

  • Innovation or work process improvement resulting in increased efficiency.
  • A contribution resulting in a specific, measurable achievement.
  • A significant cost reduction or cost containment.
  • The attainment of outstanding business results.
  • Providing exceptional customer service or service to the community.
  • Building effective cross-functional relationships within Massport resulting in the attainment of a business goal or resolution of a business problem.

Receiving the "Outstanding Achievement" award were Cedric Daniel, Noise Abatement Coordinator; Winnie Diep, Manager of Grant Billing and CAFR Reporting; Christine Donohoe, Director of Administration; Joe Ferruzzi, Tenant Construction Manager; Maria Gnerre, Senior Human Resources Generalist; Mary Hanlon, Senior Customer Service Supervisor; Thomas Porter, Port Officer; and Lisa Wieland, Director of HR Strategy & Employment.
