BOSTON – With more than 1 million people expected to travel through Logan Airport between today and next Sunday, April 24th, Massport expects parking to be extremely limited at the airport. Massport is urging passengers to seek alternative transportation options, including the four suburban Logan Express routes.
“As we head into the New England April school vacation, we expect many travelers in the next week and a half to be families heading off to long planned school vacations,” said Thomas P. Glynn, Massport CEO. “We’re also looking forward to welcoming thousands of Boston Marathon runners and fans to the city. We want to make sure visitors have a great experience at Logan and are aware of the many available transportation options.”
Starting today Logan Express buses that bring customers to Logan from Braintree, Framingham, Woburn and Peabody, will be half price and parking at Logan Express lots will be $22 for 4-14 days. The Back Bay Logan Express remains $5 or free with an MBTA Charlie card.
Massport encourages all travelers to use public transportation or the Logan Express when traveling to and from the airport. The Back Bay Logan Express, which picks up and drops off at the Hynes Convention Center and Copley Square, will not be operating Monday due to the marathon.
