Massport's transition to the New Year was seamless. Beginning with the staffing of its Command Center during the afternoon of December 31st and throughout the transition period, Massport's Y2K Team, operating staff and public safety teams checked all critical systems at Logan Airport, Hanscom Airfield, the Tobin Bridge, Conley Terminal, the Boston Fish Pier and other Port Facilities. The result: all systems are go.
Massport's Y2K Program Strategy - implemented over the past 3 years -- has paid off for the travelling public. Operations at each of our facilities were maintained without the need to invoke any of the more than 100 contingency plans we prepared "just in case."
Massport would like to express its appreciation and gratitude to all of the people and organizations that helped make this smooth transition possible.
