BOSTON – Massport welcomed Congressman Richard Neal (D-Springfield) to Logan’s Terminal B yesterday to tour the Berkshire Farms Market and celebrate the business’ one year anniversary. The market, part of the recently redesigned United Airways section of Terminal B, sells a long list of products from the Berkshire region, including products like maple syrup, artisan cheeses, chocolate, granola and produce. The market has seen great success at the location throughout its first year at Logan.
“The Central and Western parts of Massachusetts have amazing food products to offer, and I am so proud that some of these products are available at Logan,” Congressman Richard Neal said. “Boston is New England’s gateway to the world, and we are grateful that this market is helping to promote more visitors to come and visit the Berkshires and experience our food culture.”
“We were so glad that the Congressman could come and see the success of the Berkshire Farms Market here at Logan,” Massport CEO Thomas P. Glynn said. “This market is unique in that it allows our passengers who come from all over the world to get a taste for the products from Western Massachusetts. Customers are able to grab a snack for their flight as well as a regional gourmet gift to take with them.”
At today’s event, Massport and Air Mall each donated $1,000.00 to Berkshire Farm & Table, an organization that promotes the food culture of Central and Western Massachusetts and encourages people to explore all that the Berkshires has to offer.
