I-90 (MassPike) East between Exit #22 (Prudential Center/Copley Square) and South Boston will be closed nights Monday, January 9, 2006 through Thursday, January 12, 2006 from 11:00 PM until 5:00 AM the following morning, and Friday, January 13, 2006 from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM Saturday morning. Direct access to the Ted Williams Tunnel from Frontage Road, and South Boston will remain open.
All traffic will be directed off the Turnpike at Copley Square onto Stuart Street. Drivers should follow the posted detour route on Stuart Street, Arlington Street, and Herald Street and continue following the posted detour signs to their destinations, as indicated below:
To I-90 East/South Boston/Logan Airport: Turn right onto Albany Street. Continue south on Albany Street and use the Ramp to I-90 East from the Albany Street Connector.
I-93 South Exits 24A and B to Government Center and Callahan Tunnel
Nighttime Ramp Closure
The Exit ramp from I-93 South to Government Center and the Callahan Tunnel (Exit 24 A and Exit 24 B) will be closed at night Thursday, January 12, 2006 from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM Friday.
Motorists will be detoured to Exit 23 Purchase Street or Exit 20A, South Station. From there drivers trying to access Government Center should follow the posted detour via Atlantic Avenue while drivers heading to East Boston and Logan Airport will be detoured to the Ted Williams Tunnel via Seaport Boulevard or Summer Street
Haymarket On-ramp to I-93 South and Callahan Tunnel

The Haymarket On-ramp to I-93 South and the Callahan Tunnel will be closed nights starting Monday, January 9, 2006, through Thursday, January 12, 2006 from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM the next morning.
Motorists destined for Route 1A, East Boston, and Logan Airport should follow posted detour signs to the I-90 East on-ramp in South Boston. Motorists destined for I-93 South or I-90 (MassPike) West should follow the posted detour signs to Surface Artery and the respective on-ramps at Congress Street or Herald Street, and Kneeland Street.
