The 1999 Environmental Status and Planning Report (1999 ESPR) for Boston-Logan International Airport, East Boston, Massachusetts, is filed in accordance with the Secretary of the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs' Certificate on the Logan Airport 1998 Annual Update. The 1999 ESPR provides a status report on activity levels and environmental conditions at Logan Airport in calendar year 1999; compares it to calendar year 1998; and forms the basis for future planning.
Massport evaluates the cumulative impacts associated with airport activities, through preparation of the Logan Airport Environmental Status and Planning Report (formerly known as the Logan Airport GEIR), with interim Logan Airport Environmental Data reports(formerly known as Annual Updates). The 1999 ESPR is the first in a new series of review documents required by the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs (EOEA), Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) Office to assess the impacts of Logan Airport operations and activities at and near the airport. The ESPR is filed every 5 years with Environmental Data Reports filed annually in interim years.
