Due to the ongoing construction at Logan Airport’s Central Garage, the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) is advising airport travelers that parking at the airport on Mondays through Wednesdays will be limited for the next five months and travelers should plan accordingly.
Massport’s Central Garage expansion project will add three new parking levels and give customers an additional 2,880 spaces. Comprehensive renovations and upgrades to the existing garage are also contained in the project. These include new garage elevators and stair towers, a new exterior fagade, improved signage and graphics, better pedestrian circulation and transfers, improved utilities, enhanced security and emergency features, and automated parking pay stations for express exiting. Construction on the expansion began in 2004 and will be completed in 2007.
While Massport will utilize on airport satellite parking lots to accommodate customers, the Authority advises that some drivers could be directed to off airport locations. For more information call 1-800-23-LOGAN, tune to 1650 AM on your radio or check the parking section of FlyLogan.com.
