The 2003 Liner CEO Forum will feature a series of presentations by industry leaders in the liner shipping field as well as by senior-level government officials.

This all-day event will be held at the World Trade Center in Boston's historic seaport district and promises an exciting line-up of corporate and trade association executives and government officials. Confirmed appearances include a keynote address by Captain Wei Jiafu, Group President and CEO of China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company (COSCO). Other confirmed speakers include:

  • Steven R. Blust, Chairman, Federal Maritime Commission
  • Admiral Richard Larabee, Director Port Commerce, Port of New York & New Jersey
  • Edward Emmett, President, National Transportation League
  • Rob Shepard, Director of Transportation, Reebok, Inc.
    G. Edmond Clark, CEO, FedEx Trade Networks
The 2003 Liner CEO Forum will explore the cooperation emerging between the transportation industry and government agencies as they grapple with the challenges of securing the international supply chain. Attendees will also hear about current issues including port security, supply chain security, pending government regulations and new IMO rules affecting carriers and ports.

The 2003 Liner CEO Forum is the first such seminar to be co-organized by the Journal of Commerce, a leading transportation publication and a U.S. port authority. More than 150 representatives of national and international transportation organizations are expected to attend.
