An e-Travel survey of 100 frequent business travelers rated Logan International Airport as the most improved airport in the U.S. Survey participants cited the recent access improvement from the Big Dig which cut the commute to Logan from some area suburbs in half. Logan also was recognized for the major renovations to its international terminal unveiled last month.
"After years of construction, travelers at Logan are starting to reap the benefits of the airport modernization," said Massport CEO Craig Coy. "As the new Logan continues to emerge the travel experience will get better and better. We will continue to work hard to make Logan the safest, most efficient, user friendly airport in the world."
Logan is nearing the completion of a $4 billion airport modernization program which began in 1995. The Logan Modernization includes the construction of a new terminal, expanded and renovated terminal space, a two-level roadway system, expanded parking and elevated pedestrian bridges connecting the terminals with the parking facilities.
