The Massachusetts Port Authority (“Authority”), owner and operator of L.G. Hanscom Field (“Hanscom” or “Hanscom Field”), invites proposals from qualified persons or firms interested in entering into a Lease Agreement for the Building #10 Site at Hanscom.
The Premises consists of approximately 85,006 square feet of area. The Premises are improved with a hangar building known as Building #10. Building #10 contains 3,200 square feet of administrative space and approximately 17,262 square feet of hangar floor area for a total of approximately 20,462 square feet of area (the “Hangar”). The Premises also include a fuel farm and parking. If the successful proposer desires to fuel its aircraft, the successful proposer shall comply with the terms and conditions of the Authority’s specific regulations therefore codified at 740 CMR 21.00 et. seq. and its policy for Hanscom Field entitled “Minimum Standards For FBOs” adopted in 1979. Further, pollution legal liability insurance will be required for any fueling operation. The Premises shall be delivered to the successful proposer in its then “as is” condition.
Copies of your sealed proposal must be received by the Authority at or prior to 17:00 local time on March 16, 2005 at the office of Barbara Patzner, Director L. G. Hanscom Field, Massachusetts Port Authority, 200 Hanscom Drive, Bedford, MA 01730-2688.
The Authority is soliciting proposals because the process best serves the interest of the Authority and not because of any legal requirement to do so. The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, for any reason, to withdraw or amend the RFI at any time, to negotiate a best and final proposal with one or more Proposer(s), to modify or amend with the consent of the Proposer any proposal prior to acceptance, to waive any informality and to effect any agreement otherwise, all as the Authority in its sole judgment may deem to be in its best interest. Authorization to enter into a lease agreement is subject to the approval of the Authority’s Board of Directors.
