Midwest Airlines adds additional Milwaukee flight from Boston

Midwest Airlines today announced service enhancements to its summer flight schedule, including the addition of a fifth daily nonstop Milwaukee-Boston Logan flight beginning June 4.

Service will be offered on Midwest Airlines Boeing 717 aircraft. The aircraft, which are specially configured to seat 99 passengers, feature Midwest Class, a seating option that combines the airline's award-winning service and onboard amenities including freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and two choices of seating in the same coach cabin.

Last week, the Massachusetts Port Authority reported that Delta Connection's Comair had announced plans to begin service from Boston Logan to Nashville and Charleston after a year long hiatus, starting June 4 with daily service using 50-seat regional jets. Nashville and Charleston are Logan's number 2 and 3 largest un-served domestic destination markets respectively.

Boston Logan serves as the gateway to the New England region and offers nonstop service to 72 domestic and 31 international destinations and in 2007 handled 28.1 million passengers. Boston Logan is the Air Line Pilot Association's Airport of the Year for 2008 because its commitment to safety. Over the past decade, the airport has spent $4.4 billion on a modernization program that includes new terminals, parking facilities, roadways and airport concessions, and has transformed the airport into a world-class 21st Century facility.
