The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) today announced that it has been chosen by the Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) as a top winner in their 2008 Excellence in Marketing and Communications Contest. Award winners will be recognized at the ACI World/North America Annual Conference & Exhibition in Boston in September.
Massport will be honored with two first place awards: one in the category of Corporate Branding for Logan SAFE, a campaign targeted to advance the security awareness of Logan Airport employees in which Massport developed the acronym name Safety Awareness for Everyone, promotional posters and collateral material such as lanyards; and the other in the Video and Film Production category for Operation Ready 2007. Massport produced a training film that captures the events of the world’s largest airport-based mass casualty drill that will be used as a training resource for organizations responsible for responding to an aircraft incident. Massport will also be honored with a third place award in the Print Advertisement - Black and White category for its Logan Express campaign that promotes high occupancy transportation between Boston’s suburbs and the airport.
“What makes these awards especially satisfying is that they represent the creativity of Massport’s communications and marketing team,” said Massport’s Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing Danny T. Levy. “It’s an honor to have placed so well in the Excellence in Marketing and Communications Contest and we look forward to joining our peers in accepting our awards in Boston in September.”
Awards are distributed in 20 categories ranging from brochures, advertising, marketing and public relations campaigns, newsletters, special events, video and film productions, to websites.
