Beginning tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 11:30 p.m. MassDOT will close all Westbound lanes in the Ted Williams Tunnel overnight for maintenance until 5 a.m. Thursday morning, Feb. 21.
I-90 Westbound traffic will be diverted to the Sumner Tunnel. Trucks will be directed Northbound on Route 1A to Route 16 Westbound to Route 1 Southbound (Tobin Bridge) to I-93 Southbound.
Maintenance crews, contractors, along with State and Boston Police will begin set-up for the lane closures on Wednesday evening at 11pm. Ramps that provide access to I-90 Westbound will begin closing at 11:15pm. The full closure will begin at 11:30 p.m. and last until 5:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
