Massport's award winning website has been enhanced with the most accurate flight information available, a complete list of every airline's flights and a new tracking system that graphically displays the aircraft's current position anywhere in the world. Updated every two minutes, the flight information provides passengers or those picking up passengers with the latest data gathered from airlines and radar from around the world.
"Providing the best customer service starts even before passengers get to the airport," said Massport CEO Craig P. Coy. "By logging onto to www.massport.com, travelers can get the latest on arrival and departure times, gate information, weather, traffic and parking. We put it all in one easy to find spot and combined it with airline phone numbers, web addresses and travel tips."
The upgraded system now offers a weather radar map showing the aircraft's position, altitude and speed. Responding to requests from many of the website's users, information has been consolidated into one easy-to-read page that can printed and includes terminal location and real time weather, traffic, parking, security and construction updates. Users also can chose to be e-mailed, up to 30 days in advance, with updates on a selected flight.
Since being launched in 1999, Massport's revamped customer-friendly website has been awarded several local and national awards. Weekly, the website averages approximately 50,000 unique visitors.
