National airport security measures announced today by the FAA prohibit vehicles within 300 feet of airport terminals. As a result, Massport is relocating vehicles parked in the Terminal B parking lot to Suffolk Downs in East Boston. The Terminal B Garage is closed until further notice and passengers will not have any access to that garage.
Owners will be able to retrieve their vehicles from Suffolk Downs beginning at noon tomorrow when it is estimated that all vehicles will be relocated to that site. At that time, Massport will provide free bus service between the lower level of Terminal B and Suffolk Downs. Owners of relocated vehicles may also go directly to Suffolk Downs to retrieve their vehicles.
In addition, approximately 400 vehicles in the Logan Central Garage will be relocated within the garage. This facility is currently open and accessible. Owners may go directly to the Central Garage to get their vehicles parked there at any time. Owners of relocated vehicles are advised to use the "help" buttons located throughout the garage, or go to the parking supervisor's office on the second level of the garage to find the location of their vehicle.
