New Drop Off and Pick Up Locations for Back Bay Logan Express

BOSTON – Starting this Saturday, February 1st, the Back Bay Logan Express (LEX) will have new drop off and pick up locations. The Back Bay LEX buses are scheduled for every 20 minutes daily. The new starting point for the bus route is in front of the Dartmouth St. entrance to Copley Place and the Prudential Center at 800 Boylston Street. Service from Copley Place runs from 5am-9pm. Trips from Logan Airport run from 6am-10pm every day.

As of May 1st, a ride from Boston’s Back Bay to Logan Airport costs $3, and passengers from Logan to the Back Bay ride FREE. Back Bay LEX riders will also go to the head of the security checkpoint line when they arrive at the airport.

LEX is the seventh largest transit system in Massachusetts with Back Bay and four suburban locations in Braintree, Framingham, Woburn, and Peabody. Since 2009, LEX annual ridership has increased by almost 70% to 1.8 million. Massport’s long-term goal is to double ridership to 4 million. By next year, new LEX service will be available for commuters at North Station with connections to the MBTA’s Green and Orange lines, and the Commuter Rail. The fare will be $3 to Logan Airport and FREE on the return. Other LEX locations are also being considered.
