If I arrive at Logan after the last Logan Express departs, can I take a cab home for the same price?
No, Massport has discontinued its guaranteed ride home program. For additional transportation options, please see the Getting to/from Logan section of this website.
Are the Logan Express parking facilities open all night?
The parking facilities are open 24 hours a day to handle vehicle exits. Fees are paid inside the terminal at the window, and customers are then given a ticket, which allows them to exit the lot.
If I leave my car at the Logan Express lot, can someone else come pick it up?
Yes. Once you park your car, bring the keys and your parking ticket to the agent inside the terminal building, and ask them to put both in an envelope with the party's name picking up your vehicle.
How long is the trip from Rowe's Wharf to Logan?
Travel time is 7 minutes. From the Logan Dock there is complimentary shuttle bus service (Route 66) to all airport terminals, which is an additional 10-15 minutes. The water shuttle operates every 20 minutes from 6:00 am until 8:00pm Monday - Friday, and operates half hourly on weekends. The cost is $10 each way. For more information, please call our toll-free number 1-800-23-LOGAN.
What licenses/permits does Massport require if I want to run a shuttle service?
Your first step would be to contact our Ground Transportation Unit (GTU) at 561-1775 for a Massport Ground Transportation operating agreement. They will mail this out to you, and the agreement calls for proof of insurance, operating authority, a list of fleet vehicle, and other pertinent information. Upon signature and approval of your agreement, you can commence operations at Logan, using curb areas as specified by the GTU. Your company would then be billed monthly $1.50 per trip in accordance with the agreement. Massport only regulates shuttle carriers as to their operation at Logan; for operating requirements in downtown Boston you should contact the Department of Public Utilities, Boston Transportation Department, and the Boston police Hackney Division for further guidance.

During a long and varied career, General Logan served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and the Massachusetts Senate. He was called for active duty in the Spanish-American War, served as a Colonel commanding the 16th (Yankee) division and was promoted to the grade of Major General in March, 1923. He retired on March 22, 1928 and passed away on July 6, 1929 leaving behind his widow and two children, Patricia and Edward L.. Jr.
In 1923 the airport was known as The Boston Airport. It then changed in 1944 to Commonwealth Airport, and in 1956 the Airport was officially renamed by the state legislature, Logan International Airport.
