Logan Airport Medical Patient Assistance Program To make your arrival in Boston as easy as possible, Massport is combining resources with Boston Healthcare International, a consortium of the area's leading hospitals, to launch a new pilot program. This joint effort, the Logan Airport Medical Patient Assistance Program (LAMPAP), seeks to alleviate the arrival-and departure-related stress of traveling to and from Logan by offering personalized greeting for those passengers who come to Boston for medical assistance. A center for innovation and excellence in medical care, Boston is home to the country's top hospitals. Not only will you find most of the consortium hospitals located in or close to the center city, you'll find our airport close by too. Because of its convenient location, most passenger/ patients will arrive, as well as depart, through Logan International Airport. Even for the most seasoned traveler, domestic and international travel can be confusing. To help ease arrivals and departures through our international gateway at Logan, LAMPAP offers prearranged meet and greet for patients and their companions. The LAMPAP partnership is the first of its kind in the United States and we hope that it will help take away some of the worry and unnecessary stress from a patient's visit to Boston. Eligibility & Benefits If you are planning to visit one of the member hospitals of Boston Healthcare International and wish to access LAMPAP services, you should obtain authorization and make arrangements through your chosen hospital within two weeks of your scheduled travel departure date. The hospital will evaluate your request and, if approved, contact LAMPAP on your behalf. Hospital representatives will make all necessary arrangements for you. Participating members and contact information are listed on the next page. Once approval is obtained, patients and their companions can expect a warm welcome from a representative of LAMPAP.
