Alaska Airlines and Sun Country Move to Terminal C on March 4
Logan will witness several airline comings and goings in March and April including Alaska Airlines and Sun Country moving from Terminal A to Terminal C Gates 40 and 41 on March 4 and Southwest Airlines moving from Terminal E to Terminal A on April 1.
1995 Pierce Arrow Structural/ARFF vehicle that has the following specifications: a roof turret that has a discharge rate of 500 gallons per minute. The vehicle carries 1,000 gallons of water and 220 gallons of 3% AFFF. The truck carries a Holmatro Tool for extrications, high pressure air bags, first aid equipment, semi-automatic external defibrillator, cold water rescue suits, and a variety of hand tools in addition to 1000' of 4" large diameter hose. Engine 1 has two 200' 1.75” preconnect attack lines and a 300' 2.5” attack line.
2012 Oshkosh Striker ARFF vehicle with a 1950gpm pump. The vehicle carries 4500 gallons of water and 630 gallons of 3% AFFF. This vehicle also carries 500lbs of PKP and 460lbs of Halotron I. Engine 21 is equipped with a state of the art Driver Enhanced Vision System. It has an all-wheel drive independent suspension system with rear steer capability. It also has a 10KW Generator. Roof Turret pumps 1250/625gpm water-foam and the Bumper Turret pumps1250/625gpm with hydrochem capability.
2000 Oshkosh TI3000 ARFF vehicle with a 2000gpm pump with a 55’ High Reach Extendable Turret (HRET) and piercing nozzle. The vehicle carries 3000 gallons of water and 420 gallons of AFFF. This vehicle also carries 460lbs of Halotron I. Engine 23 is equipped with a Driver Enhanced Vision System and a 10KW Generator. It has an all-wheel drive system.
2010 Oshkosh Striker ARFF vehicle with a 1950gpm pump and a 65’ High Reach Extendable Turret (HRET) with piercing nozzle. E-3 carries 4500 gallons of water, 630 gallons of AFFF, 450lbs PKP and 460lbs of Halotron I. The roof turret is capable of flowing 1250gpm in high flow and 625gpm in low flow. The bumper turret has the exact same rate of discharge. Engine 3 is equipped with a state of the art Driver Enhanced Vision System. The vehicle is also equipped with a 10KW air cooled diesel generator. It has an all-wheel drive independent suspension system with rear steer capability.
2005 Pierce Dash Pump and Roll Structural/ARFF 1250gpm vehicle that has the following specifications: a bumper turret that has a discharge rate of 500gpm. The vehicle carries 1,000 gallons of water and 220 gallons of AFFF. 1993 Oshkosh TB 3000 ARFF vehicle that carries 3000 gallons of water and 410 gallons of AFFF. Engine 6 has a roof turret that can discharge 1,200gpm in high flow and 600gpm in low flow. Engine 6 also has a 300gpm bumper turret.
1994 Oshkosh T3000 ARFF vehicle that carries 3000 gallons of water and 420 gallons of AFFF. Engine 7 has a roof turret that can discharge 1200gpm in high flow and 600gpm in low flow. Engine 7 also has a 300gpm bumper turret. Engine 7 carries 450lbs of PKP that is discharged from the roof turret nozzle and/or front mounted twin agent handline. The vehicle carries an Amkus rescue tool with 30" spreader, short ram and model "O" cutter in addition to a Paratech Airgun 40.
2009 Ford F550 Super Duty 6.4L V8 Diesel Power Stroke Medium Rescue. The vehicle carries medical equipment, a semi-automatic external defibrillator.. The vehicle also carries additional scene lighting and Holmatro Tool extrication equipment including spreader and cutter. R-1 also carries the Paratech Strut System, low pressure air bags, O2 manifold, stokes basket, sked unit, and a thermal imaging camera.
1995 Pierce Arrow Lance 100' Aerial Platform with a 1750gpm Waterous Midship pump and a 200 gallon water tank. The vehicle has a fully enclosed cab with seating for six and carries 1000 feet of 4" LDH, two 200' 1.75" pre- connect attack lines, 300' 2.5" attack line, a semi-automatic external defibrillator, and an installed 7.5KW Generac Water Cooled Diesel Generator, 110' of ground ladders, two 1000W quartz lamps on platform and prepiped breathing air to platform and turntable.
1997 Mattman Company 40' Command Post with four command positions, a conference room, galley area, heating and air conditioning, a CCTV camera on a 45' pneumatic mast. Massport Fire’s Multi-Purpose Rapid Response Emergency Airstairs was designed in collaboration with the FAA to serve as the ideal first response vehicle for situations of aircraft diversion for medical reasons, air rage, emergencies, police interventions or aircraft fires.
1998 Foam Trailer 1 & 2 are an effective method of storing, handling, and delivering bulk foam supplies and PKP to the scene of a flammable liquid fire or spill. FT-1 carries 750gal AFFF and 450lbs Purple K Dry Chemical with Deck Guns and Attack Lines and FT-2 carries 750gal Alcohol Resistant -AFFF and 450lbs Purple K Dry Chemical with Deck Guns and Attack Lines. They each carry 400’ of high pressure large diameter hose.
2003 Ford F-550/Pierce 6.0L turbo Diesel HazMat Unit w/ Trailer – Special Ops - This custom hazmat truck and trailer carries Massport Hazmat Technicians to spills of dangerous chemicals, infectious substances and radioactive materials. To protect the team members, the truck brings a selection of Level A (fully-encapsulated) and Level B suits, Scott SCBA with hour-long cylinders, and in suit communications systems. To detect and identify the hazardous materials, the truck is equipped with multi-gas detectors, a photo-ionization detector, colorimetric tubes, radiation dosimeters, a radiation survey meter and a radiation contamination monitor. Finally, to ensure that hazmat team members safely escape the hazardous materials and the truck carries portable decontamination equipment.
Massport Fire Rescue is part of MetroFire, an association of Fire Departments in the Metropolitan Boston area to control Mutual Aid and to act as a common entity for improving the overall effectiveness of their Fire Services.
