Wings for Autism Workshop-Conference

Join Wings for Autismus for the Wings for Autism Workshop-Conference!

The Wings for Autism Workshop-Conference will be held at Boston Logan International Airport on Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19, 2012.

The Wings for Autism program is designed specifically for families with autistic children to help ease the stress of flying. By participating in a "dress rehearsal" at the airport, families can practice entering the airport, getting boarding passes, checking bags, being screened at the TSA security checkpoint, and boarding an aircraft.

What the Workshop Offers
Geared towards the transportation/aviation industry, the workshop will provide practical training and information needed to establish a similar program at your airport or transportation facility in addition to offering an overview of autism awareness training.

The workshop will include presentations on Autism Spectrum Disorders from those working in the field at The Charles River Center as well as guest speakers from Massport, the TSA, and JetBlue Airways. We will also hear from parents who have participated in the Wings for Autism program.
