Chelsea Street Bridge Traffic Advisory
Bridge to Close for Repairs

Please be advised that the City of Boston will close the Chelsea Street Bridge for repairs beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 21, 2007 through 4:00 a.m. Monday, October 22.  The bridge, which connects Chelsea Street in East Boston to the City of Chelsea, will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrian traffic during the work.

The Boston Transportation Department recommends motorists use one of two alternate routes: the Meridian Street Bridge that connects to Chelsea via Meridian Street in East Boston, or Route 1.

All airport employees parking in the Chelsea Garage should allow extra travel time. To reduce wait time, Massport will be adding additional shuttle bus service for airport employees.
