Massport to Hold Abandoned Vehicle Auction on October 17

The Massachusetts Port Authority (the “Authority”), in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 543 of the Massachusetts Acts of 1963, will sell at public auction on Saturday, October 17, 2009, beginning at 11:00 AM at Boston Logan International Airport, East Boston, Massachusetts, certain motor vehicles, which were abandoned on Authority property.

Click here to download the list of vehicles to be sold. Each vehicle will be sold “AS IS” and “WHERE IS” with no express or implied warranties made with respect to any vehicle. Visual inspection of vehicles may be made two hours prior to the commencement of the auction.

The auction will take place on the first floor of Logan’s Central Parking Garage. Normal parking rates apply. Follow the airport signs for Central Parking. Upon entering the garage you will be directed to the auction site.

The Authority reserves the right to withdraw any or all of the listed vehicles from the sale at any time prior to a successful bid and reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Members or employees of the Authority and their immediate family members are prohibited from bidding. All buyers must register with photo identification.

Vehicles will be sold for cash only, due at the time of sale. All vehicles must be removed from the premises by 4:00 PM on the Monday immediately following the auction.
