News DEIR Certificate Massport received a certificate from the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs, MEPA (Massachusetts Environmental Affairs Act) unit, on the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the airside improvement program on May 15. The certificate marks a major milestone in the environmental review and gives Massport the go-ahead to proceed to the next phase of environmental review --- a Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR)--- which will be filed later this year. The DEIR certificate outlined the areas the Secretary requires Massport must study in more detail in preparing the FEIR: the schedule for peak-period pricing implementation, an emissions-based landing fee program for Logan and regional airport expansion.
