News Boston Logan International Airport prepares for heavy passenger traffic during the Thanksgiving Holiday; Travelers Advised to become familiar with TSA carry-on regulations and to prepare for possible travel delays associated with I-90 connector tunnel repairs. November 13 , 2006 The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) announced today that with the start of the Thanksgiving holiday season, it is preparing for heavy passenger traffic at Boston Logan International Airport, and that travelers can help lessen delays at security checkpoints by familiarizing themselves with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) carry-on luggage regulations before leaving for the airport. Massport is also advising travelers during the busy holiday period to be prepared for possible traffic delays associated with the ongoing repairs to the I-90 Connector Tunnel. To help lessen delays at the security checkpoints, the TSA has launched a public service campaign entitled, 3-1-1 for Carry Ons, which advises travelers on the quantity of liquids, gels and aerosols allowed in carry-on luggage. For more information on TSA travel regulations, please visit their website at www.tsa.gov. To help ease traffic impacts associated with the ongoing repairs to the I-90 Connector Tunnel, Massport is encouraging travelers to Boston Logan to consider alternative transportation to and from the airport when appropriate and to monitor www.flylogan.com for updated roadway information and parking availability.
