Airport Travel Advisory; MBTA Bus Replacement Service between Airport and Government Center Stations

June 23, 2006

To accommodate necessary work along the MBTA Blue Line right of way, MBTA bus replacement service will be necessary between Airport and Government Center Stations throughout the weekend of June 24th.

Commencing at the start of service on Saturday, June 24th and continuing through the end of service on Sunday, June 25th, Maverick, Aquarium, State, and Government Center stations will be CLOSED. Blue Line service will be replaced with free MBTA shuttle bus service between Airport and Government Center stations.

MBTA Buses will stop at each station and will operate in accordance with regular train schedules. Regular Blue Line train service will operate between Wonderland and Airport stations. Please note that at Airport station, trains will arrive and depart from the inbound platform only.

Massport courtesy Shuttle Buses will run a normal weekend service, with the Route 55, 22 and 33 buses serving the Airport Station.

Airport passengers are also encouraged to use the MBTA Silver Line for service to South Station, and Red Line connections. The Silver Line drops off and picks up in front of each terminal. For more information on getting to and from Boston Logan International click here
