 News Boston Logan International Airport Traffic Advisory; Emergency Repairs may Affect Off-Airport Parking June 16, 2006 Please be advised that emergency repairs to the Chelsea Street Bridge beginning on Monday, June 19, 2006 through Monday, June 26, may result in limited parking at Logan's off-airport parking facilities. In the event that overflow parking is necessary, Logan Airport personnel will direct passengers to the appropriate off- airport parking lots. The bridge, which connects Chelsea Street in East Boston to the City of Chelsea, will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrian traffic during the work. The Boston Transportation Department recommends motorists use one of two alternate routes: the Meridian Street Bridge that connects to Chelsea via Meridian Street in East Boston, or Route 1. All airport employees parking in the Chelsea Garage should allow extra travel time. To reduce wait time, Massport will be adding additional shuttle bus service for airport employees. |
