 News Boston Logan International Airport Prepares for Heavy Passenger Traffic During Upcoming Holiday; Discounted Parking Available at Boston Logan's Central Parking Garage December 15, 2006 The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) is gearing up for another busy holiday at Boston Logan International Airport and is hoping to spread some holiday cheer by offering discounted parking at the airport's Central Parking Garage beginning Friday, December 22, at 12 noon through Friday, December 29, 2006 at 12:00 noon. The discounted rate will be equal to the economy lot parking rate for a daily savings of $6 or $58 weekly. The discounted rate will be in effect despite the length of time one parks in the Central Garage during the dates and times listed above. The discount will be applied automatically when you pay for parking. The holiday rate does not apply to the Terminal B Garage or Terminal E surface lot. To help lessen delays at security checkpoints, Massport would like to remind travelers to arrive at the airport one hour before their scheduled departure and to familiarize themselves with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) carry-on luggage regulations. To assist travelers, the TSA has launched a public service campaign entitled, 3-1-1 for Carry Ons, that advises travelers on the quantity of liquids, gels and aerosols allowed in carry-on luggage. For travelers not planning to drive to the airport, Massport offers the convenience of the Logan Express bus with service to the airport every half hour from Braintree, Framingham and Woburn and hourly service from Peabody.
