September 29, 2005
US Airways Group has increased convenience for America West and US Airways customers traveling to and from Logan Airport by consolidating airport operations between the two airlines. Combined, the newly reorganized US Airways Group will create the fifth largest domestic airline offering a total of 113 daily flights from Logan International Airport. US Airways, US Airways Shuttle and the US Airways Express operate approximately 4,000 flights per day and serve more than 225 communities in the U.S., Canada, Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America.
America West, which operates three daily non-stop flights from Boston to Las Vegas and Phoenix, will relocate to the US Airways side of Terminal B on Tuesday, October 4, 2005. Although the airlines merger was recently finalized, flights will be operated by both America West and US Airways until they are gradually combined under the new US Airways system.
