 News Logan Airport Traffic Advisories; Closures are to Allow for Continued Construction of the Central Artery December 12, 2005 I-90 (MassPike) East Nighttime Highway Closure I-90 (MassPike) East between Exit #22 (Prudential Center/Copley Square) and South Boston will be closed nights Monday, December 12, 2005 through Thursday, December 15, 2005 from 11:00 PM until 5:00 AM the following morning, and Friday, December 16, 2005 and Saturday December 17, 2005 from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following morning. Direct access to the Ted Williams Tunnel from Frontage Road, and South Boston will remain open. All traffic will be directed off the Turnpike at Copley Square onto Stuart Street. To I-90 East/Logan Airport: Turn right onto Albany Street. Continue south on Albany Street and use the Ramp to I-90 East from the Albany Street Connector. I-93 North at Exit #20 to I-90 (Masspike) Ramps to I-93 North from Mass. Ave. and Broadway Night/ Early Morning Highway and Ramp Closures I-93 North at Exit #20 will be closed to all traffic nights Monday, December 12, 2005 through Thursday, December 15, 2005 from 11:30 PM to 5:00 AM the next morning and early Saturday morning, December 17, 2005 (Friday night) from 12:01 AM to7:00 AM. In addition, the ramps at Exit 20 to I-90 East and West, and the on ramps to I-93 North at Massachusetts Avenue and at Broadway will be closed. The Detour for I-90 East and the Ted Williams Tunnel will use Exit #20 to Kneeland Street and follow the signs to I-90 East via Atlantic Avenue and Seaport Boulevard or drivers can use Exit 18 off 93 North and follow the signs along frontage road northbound to the I-90 East on ramp at the Albany Street Connector. Haymarket On-ramp to I-93 South and Callahan Tunnel Night/ Early Morning Ramp Closures The Haymarket On-ramp to I-93 South and the Callahan Tunnel will be closed nights starting Monday, December 12, 2005 through Thursday, December 15, 2005 from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning and early Saturday morning, December 17, 2005 from 12:01 AM to 7:00 AM (Friday night). Motorists destined for Route 1A, East Boston, and Logan Airport should follow posted detour signs to the I-90 East on-ramp in South Boston. I-93 South Exits 24A and B to Government Center and Callahan Tunnel Night/ Early Morning Ramp Closure The Exit ramp from I-93 South to Government Center and the Callahan Tunnel (Exit 24A and Exit 24B) will be closed at night Monday, December 12, 2005 through Thursday, December 15, 2005 from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning and early Saturday morning, December 17, 2005 from 12:01 AM to 7:00 AM (Friday night). Motorists will be detoured to Exit 23, Purchase Street. From there drivers trying to access Government Center should follow the posted detour via Atlantic Avenue while drivers heading to East Boston and Logan Airport will be detoured to the Ted Williams Tunnel via the Moakley Bridge. |
