 News Logan Airport Traffic Advisories; Closures are to allow for continued construction of the Central Artery November 2, 2005 I-90 (MassPike) East Nighttime Highway Closure I-90 (MassPike) East between Exit #22 (Prudential Center/Copley Square) and South Boston will be closed Monday, October 31, 2005 through Thursday, November 3, 2005 from 11:00 PM until 5:00 AM the following morning, and Friday, November 4, 2005 and Saturday, November 5, 2005 from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following morning. Direct access to the Ted Williams Tunnel from Frontage Road and South Boston will remain open. All traffic will be directed off I-90 at Copley Square onto Stuart Street. To I-90 East/South Boston/Logan Airport: Turn right onto Albany Street. Continue south on Albany Street and use the Ramp to I-90 East from the Albany Street Connector. I-93 North at Exit 20 to I-90 (Masspike) and On-ramps at Mass. Avenue and Broadway Night/ Early Morning Highway and Ramp Closures I-93 North at Exit #20 will be closed to all traffic nights Monday, October 31, 2005 through Thursday, November 03, 2005 from 11:30 PM to 5:00 AM the next morning, and early Saturday morning, November 05, 2005 (Friday night) from 12:01 AM to 7:00 AM. In addition, the ramps at Exit 20 to I-90 East and West, and the on ramps to I-93 North at Massachusetts Avenue and at Broadway will be closed. The detour for both I-93 North and I-90 West (Masspike) will follow the left hand exit from Exit 20 to Frontage Road Northbound to Atlantic Avenue and Kneeland Street. Drivers destined for I-93 North will be detoured to the Atlantic Avenue on Ramp, while those drivers headed for I-90 East and the Ted Williams Tunnel should follow the signs to I-90 East at the Albany Connector. I-93 North Exit #20 to I-90 (Masspike) Nighttime Ramp Closure The ramp at I-93 North Exit #20 to I-90 East and West will be closed nights, Sunday October 30, 2005 through Saturday, November 5, 2005 from 10:00 PM until 5:00 AM the next morning (7:00 AM Saturday and Sunday). The left hand ramp from Exit #20 to Frontage Road Northbound and South Station will remain open. Drivers headed for I-90 East and the Ted Williams Tunnel should use Exit #20 to the Frontage Road Northbound and follow the signs to I-90 East via Atlantic Avenue to Seaport Boulevard. Haymarket On-ramp to I-93 South and Callahan Tunnel Nighttime Ramp Closures Only The Haymarket On-ramp to I-93 South and the Callahan Tunnel will be closed nights starting Sunday, October 30, 2005, through Friday, November 04, 2005 from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the next morning (6:30 Saturday morning). Motorists destined for Route 1A, East Boston, and Logan Airport should follow posted detour signs to the I-90 East on-ramp in South Boston. Motorists destined for I-93 South or I-90 (MassPike) West should follow the posted detour signs to Surface Artery and the respective on-ramps at Herald Street and Broadway. |
