 News Logan Airport Traffic Advisories October 11, 2005 I-90 (MassPike) East Nighttime Highway Closure I-90 (MassPike) East between Exit #22 (Prudential Center/Copley Square) and South Boston will be closed nights Tuesday, October 11, 2005 thru Thursday, October 13, 2005 from 11:00 PM until 5:00 AM the following morning, and Friday, October 14, 2005 and Saturday, October 15, 2005 from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following morning. Direct access to the Ted Williams Tunnel from Frontage Road, and South Boston will remain open. All traffic will be directed off the Turnpike at Copley Square onto Stuart Street. Drivers should follow the posted detour route on Stuart Street, Arlington Street, and Herald Street and continue following the posted detour signs to their destinations, as indicated below: To I-90 East Logan Airport: Turn right onto Albany Street. Continue south on Albany Street and use the Ramp to I-90 East from the Albany Street Connector. I-93 North Exit #20 to I-90 (Masspike) Nighttime Ramp Closures The ramps at Exit #20 from I-93 North to I-90 East and West will be closed nights Tuesday, October 11, 2005 thru Thursday, October 13, 2005 from 10:00 PM until 5:00 AM the following morning, and Friday, October 14, 2005 and Saturday, October 15, 2005 from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following morning. The left hand ramp from Exit #20 to Frontage Road Northbound and South Station will remain open. Drivers traveling to I-90 West should use Exit #20 to the Frontage Road Northbound and follow the detour signs to I-90 West via the Frontage Road Northbound and Kneeland Street. Drivers headed for I-90 East and the Ted Williams Tunnel should use Exit #20 to the Frontage Road Northbound and follow the signs to I-90 East at the Albany Street Connector. I-93 North at Exit #20 to I-90 (Masspike) Ramps to I-93 North from Mass. Ave. and Broadway Night/ Early Morning Highway and Ramp Closures I-93 North at Exit #20 will be closed to all traffic nights Tuesday, October 11, 2005 thru Thursday, October 13, 2005 from 11:30 PM to 5:00 AM the next morning, and early Saturday morning, October 15, 2005 (Friday night) from 1:00 AM to 6:30 AM. In addition, the ramps at Exit 20 to I-90 East and West, and the on ramps to I-93 North at Massachusetts Avenue and at Broadway will be closed. The detour for I-93 North and I-90 (Mass Pike) will follow the left hand exit from Exit 20 to Frontage Road Northbound. For I-93 North or I-90 West follow detour to Atlantic Avenue and Kneeland Street. Drivers headed for I-90 East and the Ted Williams Tunnel should follow the signs to I-90 East at the Albany Connector. Haymarket On-ramp to I-93 South and Callahan Tunnel Nighttime Ramp Closures The Haymarket On-ramp to I-93 South and the Callahan Tunnel will be closed nights starting Tuesday, October 11, 2005 through Friday, October 14, 2005 from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the next morning (6:30 Saturday morning). Motorists destined for Route 1A, East Boston, and Logan Airport should follow posted detour signs to the I-90 East on-ramp in South Boston. Motorists destined for I-93 South or I-90 (MassPike) West should follow the posted detour signs to Surface Artery and the respective on-ramps at Essex and Kneeland Streets. |
