Massports Thomas J. Kinton Jr., Named Best Airport Director Of The Year; Kinton Leads Logan International Airport through $4.4 Billion Modernization Effort

The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) announced today that Airport Revenue News has named Massports Director of Aviation, Thomas J. Kinton, Jr., as its 2005 Best Director of the Year. Kinton was chosen for this prestigious award for his successes in the areas of leadership, innovation, marketing and customer service. Airport Revenue News is a monthly trade magazine devoted to the operation and revenue generating aspects of the airport industry.
In his capacity as director of aviation, Kinton oversees all aspects of planning, operations, and development at Logan International Airport, L.G. Hanscom Field, and Worcester Regional Airport. Kintons responsibilities include the safety and security of Massports airport holdings and the efficient operation of Logan Airport throughout its $4.4 billion modernization program.
"Tom would be the first to say that this award is a team effort. But it is also a significant personal accomplishment," said Massport CEO Craig P. Coy. The airport community airlines, FAA, food and retail concessions and airport employees nominated him and it is well deserved. I along with the Massport Board of Directors congratulate him on this award.
