The waterfront parcel occupies a portion of the Medford Street Terminal and includes the former Revere Sugar Refinery and Somerville Lumber warehouse properties.

The entire site is approximately 8.44 acres and includes a paved surface, a gravel area, a dock serving a deep-water berth and a warehouse/office building. Two abutting parcels consisting of approximately 6.6 acres may be available as option parcels for future development.

The property is located within a Designated Port Area (DPA) and is restricted to water-dependant industrial uses and supporting activities. The site includes:
  • A two-story brick office and warehouse with three loading docks,
  • A one-story brick gatehouse,
  • A 40deep-water berth along the Mystic River, and
  • A rail line (the Mystic River Branch, that bisects the property)
Massport will conduct an informational meeting and site visit on December 15, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. Interested parties should call 617-946-4435 in advance to register.

RFP responses are due to Massport by 12:00 p.m. on January 30, 2004 and should be directed to Pamela Reed, Manager Maritime Leasing, Massachusetts Port Authority, One Harborside Drive, East Boston, MA 02128-2909.
