Logan Travelers to Get Low-Fare Non-Stop Flights to West Coast; America West Announces Transcontinental Non-Stop Flights

America West Airlines will initiate non-stop service twice daily to Los Angeles and San Francisco, offering Boston and New England travelers another option for getting to two major West Coast destinations. America West will operate the flights seven days a week and will commence flying to Los Angeles International Airport from Boston on October 26, 2003. Flights between San Francisco International Airport and Boston will begin March 1, 2004.

Currently, Logan International Airport offers seven daily flights to San Francisco and five daily flights to Los Angeles on American Airlines and United Airlines.

America West Airlines, which operates from Logan Airport's Terminal B, will use Airbus A319 aircraft featuring 12 first class seats and 112 main cabin seats on these transcontinental flights. The two daily flights to Los Angeles will depart Logan Airport at 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The two daily flights to San Francisco will depart Logan Airport at 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
