Over 50 Agencies to Participate in Logan Emergency Drill

October 25, 2002

A simulated aircraft accident emergency response organized by a coalition of federal, state and city agencies will take place the morning of Thursday, November 7, 2002 at approximately 9:00A.M. at Logan International Airport.

Residents should be aware that if they see a large number of emergency vehicles at the airport or enroute to Logan Airport, that it is a drill, not an actual emergency and there is no need for concern.

The initiative, which will be conducted by over 50 agencies, is designed to meet respective regulatory requirements and to identify performance improvement measures moving forward under the Massachusetts Statewide Anti-Terrorism Unified Response Network (SATURN) initiative.
