News New Logan Parking Rates Effective November 12, 2001 11/08/2001 The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) today announced that the parking rate increase approved by the Massport Board last month will go into effect Monday, November 12, 2001. The new rates for Central Parking are: Daily rate - $22.00 Weekly rate - $99.00 The weekly cap of $99.00 will only be in effect until the Satellite Lot (economy rates) reopens at Logan. When the Satellite Lot reopens, the weekly rate will be eliminated (except for disabled persons with a proper plate) at all other airport parking facilities. Currently all parking at Logan is in the Central Garage. In addition, in light of security restrictions on curbside parking, Massport will reduce the cost of parking for the first half-hour at Logan from $4.00 to $2.00. The new rates for the Satellite Lot (when it is reopened): Daily rate - $16.00 Weekly rate - $80.00 In addition, rates for the Braintree, Framingham and Woburn Logan Express service will be increased effective December 1, 2001. Rates for the new Peabody Logan Express will not be increased. The new Logan Express rates will be: Daily parking rate - $8.00 Weekly parking rate - $48.00 One-way bus fare - $9.00 Round trip bus fare - $16.00 * Fares will be discounted for seniors and children.
